Hello Koka,

Your artwork is so beautiful. Sixty hours is a real labor of love. I admire your dedication to your craft. Mucha would be proud of you. I love the monochrome color to the entire work. The body proportions and especially the facial expression are lovely.

Thank you for sharing your artwork with us. Wish you the best of success at Planet Comicon.

Thank you so much for saying so! :blush: It certainly took a long time, but not only was it a growing experience as an artist, but also that the piece itself means a lot to me personally. With any luck and a heapload of time I'll be able to tackle a piece like this again one day. (Maybe after I graduate from art education school...ha!)

Best of luck in your artistic endeavors as well! :wave:

Thank you so much for saying so! :heart: I'm glad that you enjoyed it; eventually I'll get back into doing more complicated art nouveau-style backgrounds...I've been lazy for the most part as of late. ^^;

You're very welcome. If your newest deviations are you being lazy, then I'm just even more impressed. :)

I love it when artists reference lesser known Greek myths. :iconiloveitplz:

not to completely burst your bubble, but that was a happy accident ^^; although i have no doubt that's where the name came from itself, that wasn't the intention behind that piece. i was using the lesser known name of daffodils, narcissus, since they were included in the piece since it's a homage to my engagement. i generally work with the old language of flowers, and the meaning each flower holds. and we're using a lot of daffodils in the wedding also :D

but i will say that i do love greek mythology <3 so awesome!

:icondivaplz: Accident or not, it is still an allusion!

I figured it was X3

truth! :D many things allude to others, even just on a personal level, which is why i like to use symbology with concrete objects a lot ^^; while something means something specific to me, it can have much more meaning to someone else depending on their life experiences and interests
:heart: still! i've very glad that you enjoyed it :D that's my favorite part of dA, knowing that i can bring art to the table that interests others besides myself
